Tanjung Rhu Resort houses tennis courts and a fitness center with sauna rooms and steam baths. Other activities available include fishing trips and eagle-feeding sessions. The resort is less than 2.5 miles from Air Hangat (Hot Springs) Village and just a 30-minute drive from the Langkawi International Airport. With timber floors, rooms come equipped with a flat-screen TV with a DVD player. Private bathrooms have a bathtub and shower facilities. Tea/coffee making facilities and a minibar are included. 24-hour room service is available. Sands serves local and Western specialties on the beachfront. Guests can browse through books or magazines and having tea and snacks in the Reading Room. After a swim, they can have light meals and beverages at Sunset Pool Bar.

Important Information
From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted. Please note that the tourism fee MYR10 only applicable to international guest, Heritage Charges (Caj Warisan) will be changed RM10 per room, per day starting 1st January 2025. For Prestigious Events, a charge of RM20 per room, per night will apply during Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace (LIMA), Le Tour De Langkawi, Ironman, and Oceanman Malaysia.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. Beautiful location and spacious rooms. That’s all it has to offer. Staff and food need some major improvements.
- What did you like most?The beach and surrounding landscape is incredible.
- Was there anything you didn't like?The food is terrible! For a five star resort, I definitely expected a higher quality of ingredients and items to choose from. The buffet was not stocked - constantly running out of items. The staff need to be more conscientious of customers needs. Remove used plates from tables in a timely manner and restock the buffet as needed. Also, the hostess in the Sands restaurant was not pleasant at all! A smile goes a long way.
