Amazing location, ambience and views,...
- What did you like most?Great Breakfast package! Amazing location! Great views from our room (diamond head view)! Food is yummy but sooo pricey. Room is snug and generally adequately provisioned but not luxe.
Lovely peaceful hotel
- What did you like most?Fabulous location on beautiful quiet beach( with resident Monk seal) just beyond end of Waikiki. The rpoom we eventually had ( for which we paid an upgrade fee) was very nice 3rd floor and side sea views.Comfortable bed , big windows and nice balcony. Very pretty reception and lounge area with colourful and stylish design. Hau tree restaurant great for breakfast( but dont forget to reserve table even if you have breakfast package)Staff were mostly extremely nice and friendly. Quiet peaceful area with nice view of Diamond head out the back and along to Waikiki the other way.
- Was there anything you didn't like?Our first room before we upgraded was in a bleak looking block behind the hotel and had.a neglected air and a balcony covered in bird poo. We paid a $70 a day to upgrade to a nicer room in the main hotel. There was no suggestion of free upgrade. There was a strange area on the third floor that was roped off in the middle of all the rooms. Maybe it previously had something on it but it was now just blank and a bit sad looking. We had a bed and breakfast package and most days had a lovely breakfast but on the two days we couldn't have breakfast in the restaurant( once because we had an early start and once because of restaurant being deep cleaned) we were told we could only have a coffee and one item from the coffee shop/bakery e.g a croissant.. Not a very good alternative in our view. I discussed it at reception but was told that was just what it was. Slightly long but quite pleasant walk into central Waikiki (23 mins to Moana surfrider) bit less pleasant at night.
